Many companies offer affiliate programs where you make money online by placing ads that are relevant to the content on your website. Many affiliate programs give you a commission for referring customers to their sites by placing related ads on your pages. For example, on my Old-Woodworking-Tools website, I place ads for woodworking tools from Amazon. When one of my visitors that I refer to Amazon makes a purchase, Amazon pays my a commission on the sale. On my GuidesandTutorials website, I provide information about LCD projectors. On the same page I have ads for projectors from Amazon. If someone purchases a projector after clicking on an Amazon ad on my page, I get a commission on the sale.
The great thing about affiliate marketing is the the ads you place on your web page are relevant to the interests of your visitor. Because they already have an interest in LCD projectors since that's why they visited my web page, they are much ore likely to click on the ads.
If I was interested in selling Amazon books, for example, on web development or Google Adsense, I might include an affiliate ad from Amazon like the ones below. When visitors like you come to my website, they're already interested in the topic and they might click on an ad and purchase a book from Amazon. If they did, Amazon would pay me a commission on the sale.
