Modifying Lists and Menus
This tutorial will illustrate modifying lists and menus in Dreamweaver CS5.
In this section we're going to look at lists and menus, and make some more changes to our order form.
Here's the form so far.

Now make a space by positioning the cursor to the right of the Customer name text box then pressing the Enter key. Access the Insert Form fly-out menu and choose Select (List/Menu).

Complete the items in the Input Tag Accessibility Attributes dialog.

Press OK and the list/menu is inserted into the form. It has a Type of Menu.

With the list selected, look at the contents of the Properties panel. Press the List Values... button and enter the available items in the List Values dialog.

Add new items by pressing the + button. Here is my completed list of flowers.

Press OK and the menu is now setup on the form. In the Properties panel I've specified which item in the menu should be selected initially.

Now test the menu in Live view.

In Dreamweaver the List and Menu look very similar, but there is an important difference. A list allows you to scroll through the items and you can select multiple items. A menu does not. If I set the Type to List and the Height to 4 and test in Live view, you can see the difference. I've also selected two flowers.
