Opening and Saving a Web Page in CS5
This tutorial will illustrate opening and saving a web page in Dreamweavere CS5
You can use Dreamweaver to manage multiple web sites. Once you have more than one web site, you'll need to be able to choose the one you want to work on.
When you start Dreamweaver it loads the web site you were last working on. If
you want to work on a different site you need to select it. To do this, click the Site menu then Manage Sites...

Click to select the site you want to work on, then Done. The site you selected
is now the one you're working on.
Opening a Web Page in Dreamweaver CS5
Whichever site you have selected, the pages that you already have for that site
are listed in the Files and Assets panel, which is usually visible in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
You can open one of the pages in your site to work on it by selecting it in the Files & Assets panel and double clicking. If you do that, the page opens and you can start work on it.

There are other ways of opening a page. Select the File menu and you will see the Open... command which lets you
browse for the page (or other file) that you want.

Once you've found the file,
double click or select it and press Open.

The Open Recent option from the File menu produces a fly-out menu and you can
choose one of the files you've worked on recently.

There are other ways of opening files, including the options in the left hand column on the Welcome
screen.
When you've finished working on a page you'll probably want to save it. For a
new page you should save it as soon as possible and save frequently while you're working on it, just in case your PC has any problems. You don't want to lose a
load of work!
Saving a Web Page in Dreamweaver CS5
The simplest option to save a page is to use Save from the File menu. This
saves the latest version of a page without asking any questions. If you are
working on several pages at once, the Save All option saves all open files,
asking for names for any files you haven't saved before.
Many Dreamweaver commands have keyboard shortcuts. The short cut for Save is Ctrl+S.
To save a copy of a page use Save As... from the File menu. This asks for a
name for the new file and lets you choose where to save it.
