Remove a Link

This tutorial will show you how to remove a link in Dreamweaver CS5.

Removing a link is easy, although there are a couple of options.

If we look again at the link to the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb, the text can remain even if the link doesn't.

Select the link and the details appear in the Properties Panel.

To actually remove the link without removing the text it's only really necessary to clear the Link and Target boxes. However, if we right click on the text we can use the Remove Link option on the menu.

That does the job for us.

Another option occurs when we have text that needs to be removed completely. For example, suppose that I delete the text about visa information at the top of the article about Sydney.

If I delete that text, then the link to the other page is deleted with it, so I don't have to do anything else.
