Removing an Internal CSS Style
This tutorial illustrates removing an internal style in Dreamweaver CS5.
It's straightforward in Dreamweaver to remove an internal CSS style from an object such as a piece of text.
In this version of our document I've created an internal style called .BoldItalic and applied it to a few words of text.

Looking at the Properties Panel, you can see that the Targeted Rule in force in the text is .BoldItalic. If I select all of the text for which this rule is in force I can then use the Format CSS Styles fly-out menu to remove the use of the style here.

Select None, and the formatting due to the CSS Style (rule) is removed.

Note how the Targeted Rule box content reverts to its default contents.
As an alternative to using the Format CSS Styles fly-out menu option of None, you can select <Remove Class> from the Targeted Rule dropdown and the effect is the same.

Again, the Targeted Rule reverts to its default value.

When you remove an internal style like this, the text reverts back to its default formatting. If you have an external style sheet attached and you remove an internal style, the formatting will revert back to the rules dictated by the external style sheet.
